Newman Film Series: Dracula Has Risen from the Grave

1968's “Dracula Has Risen from the Grave,” starring Christopher Lee, will screen on reel-to-reel (16mm) film at 7 pm on Saturday, Oct. 27th at the Newman Center (90 Broad St., Plattsburgh). Toting an exquisite soundtrack and startling stained-glass cinematography, this Hammer Studios Technicolor classic enjoys an enormous following worldwide, including clerics admiring its emphasis on religious symbolism. This special 50th-anniversary presentation is free with donations welcome.
