Thurston Clarke: JFK’s Last Hundred Days

Thurston Clarke’s will discuss his latest book, JFK’s Last Hundred Days: The Transformation of a Man and the Emergence of a Great President (Penguin, 2013). This event occurs on the 50th anniversary of JFK’s signing of the ratification of the Limited Test Ban Treaty, which he considered his proudest legislative achievement.
Mr. Clarke is the author of twelve widely acclaimed books of fiction and nonfiction, including three New York Times notable books. JFK’s Last Hundred Days is a revelatory, minute-by-minute account of JFK’s last hundred days that asks what might have been.
Mr. Thurston will talk for about a half hour and take questions. The event is a joint presentation of the Paine Memorial Library in Willsboro and the Belden Noble Memorial Library in Essex. It is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be served after the talk. The Essex Community Church is located at the blinking light in Essex.
