Piano By Nature Concert: Les Petites Histoires Françaises

November 17 @ 7:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

One event on November 18, 2018 at 3:00pm

Piano by Nature would like to announce two upcoming concerts of French-flavored music for tenor and piano held at the Historic Hand House in Elizabethtown, NY. These concerts are the fulfillment of a 2016 musical trade made by Plattsburgh-based chamber ensemble Metamusic with musical colleagues at the University of West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas.

Tenor Christopher Meerdink and pianist Denise Parr-Scanlin will bring French flavor to a menu of music that includes Automne by Chaminade, Poulenc’s song cycle Banalités, and his beloved Story of Babar the Little Elephant for piano and narrator as well as some favorites by that American who was in Paris, George Gershwin. This promises to be the perfect set of concerts for a beautiful November weekend in the Adirondacks, so make your reservations now to ensure seating.

Both concerts take place at the beautiful Historic Hand House in Elizabethtown, NY Saturday, November 17th at 7PM and Sunday, November 18th at 3PM. We ask a $15 donation for all adult tickets and $5 for children under the age of 15. We will take reservations by phone at 518.962.8899 and email pianobynature@gmail.com.
