Essex Resident and historian Nick Muller will discuss his recent book, Inventing Ethan Allen, which he co-authored with John J. Duffy, on Wednesday, August 20 at 7:00 p.m. at the Essex Library. Nick will address numerous questions about Allen’s life including: Why did accounts of his life and deeds appear 50 years after his death? Why has history created this hero? Why does imagery of Allen depict him in a Continental officers uniform when he never held a commission? Donations to the library will be requested but not required.
