SUMMARY:Piano by Nature in Concert: SOVA
DESCRIPTION:On the weekend of October 3/4\, Piano by Nature welcomes one of our new artists for the season—a Troy-based composer and pianist with a brand-new album to share. Described as performing with “passion and profound tenderness” (Second Inversion)\, Sova aka Sophia Vastek’s intuitive playing style has evolved into a dynamic\, cinematic sound that blends neoclassical\, ambient\, and jazz sensibilities. For Sova—the moniker of New York-based pianist/composer Sophia Vastek—the piano has always been home. A second-generation pianist\, she holds a deep reverence for her history\, coupled with an exploratory ear\, and moves quietly between musical worlds. \n\n\n\nPiano by Nature is thrilled to kick off our nineteenth season with this exciting set of concerts and warmly invites you to join us afterwards for tasty refreshments and scintillating post-concert conversation with our artist. The concerts have an evening and matinee performance: Saturday\, October 3rd at 7PM and Sunday\, October 4th at 3PM. Doors will open 30 minutes before the performances\, and we recommend arriving early to avoid check-in lines. Admission for concerts at Elizabethtown’s Historic Hand House is $20\, with a special $5 rate for children 15 and under. And this would be an incredible concert to bring the kids! We especially support young listeners—bring several and receive a discount. We accept cash or check and seating is on a first-come\, first-served basis. Reservations are strongly encouraged due to limited availability. You can reserve your spot via email at pianobynature@gmail.com or by phone at 518-962-8899. We look forward to seeing you all there to kick-off the season and start the celebration! \n\n\n\nLearn more at pianobynature.org. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCare to share?\n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n More\n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit
